Driven by the desire to put customers’ needs first, Mike Riley opened a senior care franchise

April 18, 2019

Since June 2018, Mike Riley has been meeting the demand for home care services in Charlotte, NC and the surrounding area through his Homewatch CareGivers franchise.

As owner and CEO of Homewatch CareGivers of Charlotte, Mike enjoys building strong relationships in the community while providing a valuable service. He has been drawn to the idea of raising awareness for senior care and issues related to aging since his father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

After a career in the supply chain and logistics industry, Mike was driven by his desire to own a business that would place the customers’ needs first. Knowing he did not want to start from scratch, Mike turned to Homewatch CareGivers and purchased an already thriving business in order to capitalize on its proven processes and systems.

In the short time he has been an owner, Mike has grown at an impressive rate. From the start, he took advantage of Homewatch CareGivers’ Market Action Plan and coaching to strategically plan his market strategy and focus on meeting unmet needs in his market. Additionally, Mike fully embraced the industry-leading technology available to him through Homewatch CareGivers Care+ to demonstrate the positive outcomes of home care and gain additional referrals from other local healthcare providers. Mike is a shining example of how a new owner can succeed when they follow Homewatch CareGivers’ proven processes and fully embrace the tools that the brand offers.

Mike enjoys helping seniors live independently with the support of his Homewatch CareGivers team. He attributes his success to fostering an environment based on open communication, collaboration and trust between his customers and the employees on his team. He believes that the success of an organization is based on the success of a team as a whole, rather than the performance of any one individual.

In his free time, Mike enjoys golfing and spending time with family, friends and his Airedale Terrier.
