Family caregivers deserve regular breaks and professional caregivers deserve to be honored for their work. In an employee-based home care model, the day-to-day work of caregivers is of the utmost importance and therefore should be recognized. It is the caregivers making a difference in the lives of individuals with a smile, a kind word, a thoughtful gesture, moments of preserved dignity, and in return they are thanked in numerous ways.
