Homewatch CareGivers Franchisee Featured in Canadian Franchising Association Article

November 1, 2017

Saba TauseefSaba Tauseef launches home care business in Ontario after learning franchise’s values align with her own.

Homewatch CareGivers franchisees come from diverse backgrounds, but each has found a way to integrate his or her experience into the proven franchise concept. Meet Sauba Tauseef, a Homewatch CareGivers franchisee with a public health background. She worked as a physician and anesthesiologist in Qatar and Pakistan after graduating with a Masters in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene.

In an article with the Canadian Franchise Association, Tauseef shares that she eventually returned to Canada in 2015. The next year, she decided she wanted to launch her own business. Her extensive research led to Homewatch Caregivers. The home care franchise is particularly invested in care of the whole person, not just on physical care, a distinction that resonated with Tauseef. “The ability to provide care while preserving dignity and independence really resonated with me,” Tauseef says, “there are many companies who provide services, but providing family-oriented care is something that aligned with my values.” So she decided to go all in and establish a home care business in Mississauga, Ontario.

While a medical background is not necessary to be a Homewatch CareGivers franchisee, Tauseef has integrated her experience into her business.

Tauseef is in charge of business development for her growing home care business and while she loves the behind-the-scenes work, she shares in the article that working one-on-one with clients is what makes her feel like she is truly making a difference. Tauseef personally does all the assessments for her clients and says she takes pride in not only helping others but in also leading a great team of caregivers. Her background has given Tauseef familiarity with the health system and an understanding of how her home care business can help client needs. “I am able to understand the health continuum and how we as Homewatch Caregivers can fit in and provide care,” Tauseef explains.

Franchisees like Tauseef are fulfilled in multiple ways: they are able to launch their own home care business but don’t have to reinvent the wheel because they have the backing of an established home care franchise with systematized processes in place that can be scaled rapidly. In addition to comprehensive training and support, Homewatch Caregivers also arranges for public relations efforts to make sure word of the franchisee’s home care business is spread far and wide. Articles like those that appeared in the CFA blog are an indication of Homewatch Caregivers continued commitment to franchise support. Leveraging that rapport and expertise, Tauseef is looking to take her home care business to the next level.
